His Majesty’s Theatre

The Regal Theatre
The Regal Theatre is a must-visit theatre here in the city. You can find this world-class theatre located in Subiaco, Perth. The theatre takes its name from King George VI, who was then the crown king at the time. Its construction commenced in 1938 and was opened on April 27, 1936. It was then inaugurated two years later.

State Theatre Centre
Finally, State Theatre Centre completes our list. This breathtaking theatre is located within Perth’s Cultural Centre. It has one performance area that is known as the Heath Ledger Theatre, which was named after the late award-winning and Perth-born film actor. Compared to the other theatres on the list, this was opened relatively not so long ago on January 27, 2011. It can accommodate up to 234 guests. The architect of the building is Kerry Hill, who worked for Howlett and Bailey back in the early 1970s.
