Anstead Bushland Reserve is another well-loved place. It is over 80 hectares in size. In fact, it is the largest Brisbane City Council owned natural area. It rests easily near the Brisbane River.

Venman Bushland National Park is about 4.15 square kilometers in size. It is a popular recreation area in Brisbane. At present, it is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service.
This reserve is home to many wildlife species too. You may find some koalas and wallabies on your bushwalk activities. There are also a number of birds that fly around here as well. The park also protects the headwaters of the Tingalpa Creek. Frogs and eastern water dragons live in these creeks.
